After spending 12 years seeking answers and relief for my pain, I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis on 2/3/10 and the very next day found out I was pregnant. Despite the doctor’s pressure, I chose to delay medication until 2013. My primary care physician ordered additional testing to learn why my disease was progressing so rapidly and in 2015 I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. By the time I found HSCT in 2016, I knew it was my only-best chance to stop the progression of my symptoms including numbness and tingling in my feet, legs, and arms; brain fog and poor short-term memory; loss of balance; trouble concentrating; depression; severe fatigue, and random shocking pains throughout my back and legs.
I stumbled upon HSCT in April 2016 after reading a newspaper article and contacted Dr. Burt’s team immediately. I was invited for initial evaluation in July, testing in November, and after a long battle with insurance, finally received HSCT in Chicago on October 18, 2017.
